Co-Founder of Power2Prevail Community

Jade is the Co-Founder of Power2Prevail Community, a Community Interest Company (CIC) with the mission to empower disadvantaged young people to realise their potential and believe that their past or current circumstances don’t limit their ability to succeed.

Their motto is “Everyone has the Power2Prevail” which reflects this belief.

Power2Prevail focuses on supporting care-experienced young people, students on the brink of exclusion, those excluded from mainstream education, and individuals seeking pathways into employment.

Their approach centres on delivering lived-experience programmes and mentoring services aimed at young people aged 16 to 25 from disadvantaged backgrounds, low-income households, or the social care system, as well as those struggling in education or in need of extra guidance, love, and support.

The organisation’s flagship initiative, Journey 2 Adulthood, is a 12-session programme delivered over four weeks for care-experienced young people aged 16-25. Inspired by Jade’s personal journey from being a Looked After Child (LAC) to transitioning into independence as a Care Leaver (CL), the programme equips participants with essential skills and knowledge needed for independent living.

So far Jade has been able to receive two pots of funding to support the work of Power2Prevail Community.

One from the Global Fund for Children, Co-Op Foundation, #iwill Movement & Restless Development which covers piloting two programmes of Journey 2 Adulthood and one from UnLtd as Jade is an UnLtd Award Winner.
