LOVE ‘OUR’ YOUTH 2023

In 2023, Jade, with the support of her fellow YPAG (Youth People’s Action Group) member Mya, led a powerful social action project called LOVE ‘OUR’ YOUTH.
This event was born from their shared passion for raising awareness about the critical lack of youth provisions in South London.
International Women’s Day

For International Women’s Day, Jade was invited to Woolwich Polytechnic School for Girls to deliver a speech on her journey within education to inspire the girls to strive for their goals and use the challenges that occur in their lives as drive to want to be better.
BBC Radio with Eddie Nestor

Jade & Tyrell were asked by Eddie Nestor to share their views on why so many young boys are loosing their lives to knife crime.
Both Jade and Tyrell used their experience and knowledge on knife crime within their local boroughs and communities to articulate their findings on the causes and solutions to London’s rise of youth violence.
Meeting with the MET at Scotland Yard

Alongside other YPAG members Leonita, Bipin, Miriam and Kai, Jade was invited to Scotland Yard to speak with the MET Police on the issue around Knife Imagery.
YPAG had concerns with the MET Police posting images of seized knives on their social media accounts.
London’s Hope Hack

Jade was part of running the Hope Collectives Annual Hope Hack. This year the Hope Hack was in hosted by London’s Violence Reduction Unit at London Stadium, with the support of West Ham United Foundation.
It was named the biggest Hope Hack yet!
VRU Youth Takeover Day

Jade was part of the Executive Planning Committee who organised the VRU’s Youth Takeover Day!
This event was shaped to give young people aged 16+ access to opportunities within education or employment, as well as the chance to learn through the delivery of workshops
